Authentic food, very good! A shop that you should definitely support! Been there a couple of times and keep coming back. No microwave, everything freshly prepared!

Very good food, prepared with joy and especially the halwa for dessert is always freshly prepared and is just wonderfully delicious. plus the always friendly owners I like to come more often, sometimes just to pick up and enjoy at home.

Had the mixed starter plate and twice the mixed main courses. Above all, the pakoras and kababs were incredibly delicious! The main courses were all good across the board. You can't say anything about the prices. That is almost a gift. We will definitely come more often or take food with us. Unfortunately, I had to edit the review after we found a meal beetle in the boiled rice ... Next time we'll ask for naan

Was there recently but was relatively disappointed! My menu actually tasted as good as not and was also a very small portion (in contrast to the other descriptions here, although I don't care about the size of the portion if it tastes good and authentic)

Really liked it. Service food and price very good. From the name Masala I was a bit scared to get too much Masala in the food :) but luckily the taste and Masala was perfect. It has very natural home made taste and not too much spices added. I ordered most of the dishes to try and The best part they give fresh butter tarkka and add chili's or spice accordingly .. u get fresh cooked Naan very soft and khasta Naan :) . And for sure Pakkora need a bit more improvement ;)

On a rainy day, felt right at home with the samosa chaat and masala chai. It was the perfect package of authentic flavours, filling portions and great service at the perfect price point. Hint: Order one roti/brot at a time...each one is way more filling than you would think.

Food tastes very fresh and everything is homemade. We had chicken masala, chicken biryani, and gosht masala for dessert the balls of dough everything tasted great. For us so far the best experience with Pakistani food. The service is very friendly and quick. All in all a clear recommendation (5 stars). We come back often. Many thanks

Hello Everyone!, Food is good, atmosphere is even better! A true Pakistani/Indian feeling in there, anyone who has travelled there will immeadiatly recognize that. :) Their food comes in big portions, no worry about feeling hungry after a meal! Thank you, I will visit again!

We were here for lunch today. Rice and lentil sauce were very tasty and we were very friendly and warmly received and served. The dough balls for dessert are a poem! Gladly again! :)

We stop by the Masala house regularly when there is not enough time to cook. The menu is without exception super delicious and at fair prices! The exceptionally friendly and cheerful owner is also happy to order. It's great that we have something like this nearby! :-)

The best, authentic delicious taste of home! Tried a number of Pakistani/Indian restaurants but something or the other lacked the authenticity but this one lived up to the mark-(5/5)! Quite affordable and good portioned dishes. Highly recommended.

The place serves authentic, pakistani and Indian dishes. They also serve street food like channa chaat. I had rice and chicken curry.. Made me feel like home.. Service is fast and staff is friendly.. Since they starting new, the menu has limited number of dishes, however all of them are the common dishes you find in the sub continent.. The price is also affordable compared to most Indian/Pakistani/bangaladeshi restaurants in Freiburg.. A definitive thumbs up.. Must try..

Absolutely delicious food! They ask you how you want it, and make it exactly the way you requested. Also the deserts are quite tasty- and I'm not even big on sweets. 2 thumbs up, will definitely come back again.

Delicious food for good prise

Nice and friendly staff customize the dish according to me. Served at the table, handsome amount of food in one serving. Totaly great experience would love to eat again!

Ordered the chicken biryani for lunch (8€). Got a starter for free, a coke costs 2€ and is served at the desk. The portion you get is quite big, I'd say it is sufficient for two at lunch time. Taste is good and service friendly. I would improve it by serving small bottles of coke instead to keep it fresh and sparkling. From what I got, I can definately recommend the food and I hope that the restaurant sticks around a little longer. I'll definately come back and check if some other things I suggested were improved.
